Potential French Presidential Candidate Would Ban Foreign Names

French author Eric Zemmour, seen as waiting in the wings for the 2022 French Presidential election, stated that, if elected he would re-enact a Napoleonic Era law restricting names for newborn babies. Acceptable names would be Roman Catholic saints, historical and mythological figures and Celtic names. The law would be aimed at the parallel society of Muslims that has metastasized in France over the last 20 years.
