CPAC Straw Poll: Trump and DeSantis on Top, Gov. Noem Distant Third

The CPAC straw poll, the first test of GOP primary strength had President Donald Trump at a commanding lead of 55 percent. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis came in second at 21 percent. When the poll was conducted¬†without President Trump — who 68 percent of attendees said they wanted to run again — DeSantis won handily, with 43 percent of the vote, followed by Governor Kristi Noem at 11 percent and Don Jr. at 8 percent.
