COVID Lockdowns Drive Childhood Obesity Spike

Dr. Susan Woolford of the University of Michigan’s Child Health Evaluation and Research Center, using information obtained from Kaiser Permanente in California has found a significant spike in childhood obesity in America. Nearly half of all children in America between ages 5 and 11 are now clinically obese, compared to 36 percent before the lockdowns began.
